Since childhood, I had chronic respiratory problems that forced me to breathe through the mouth instead of the nose.

My parents were aware of it, and it was quite impossible for them not to be aware of it, because my mouth was open, I was constantly grunting, snoring during sleep, etc.

But my father didn't care and my mother dismissed it as normal because she had the same respiratory problems and was a mouth breather as well.

I only realized the detrimental effect of mouthbreathing on facial development in my late teens, but it was too late. I gave up on "mewing" because the damage was already done and I was too messed up to do it properly anyhow.

The more ridiculous thing is, my parents do not see anything wrong with my receded lower third, because guess what, they also have the mouthbreathing face.

I can forgive my parents for not giving me Chad genes, but neglecting your child to the extent of impairing their physical development is completely their fault and I resent them for it.

i did for periods of time througout my life and still catch myself doing it from time to time

yeah, every single part of my face's recessed and elongated

Sometimes because I had allergies and was congested most of the times

My airway is narrow because of my recessed mandibula. İ snore always. Surgery is the only solution for it probably.

No but I am still have recessed bone structure and elongated face because of my Asian gene.

no it feels retarded

No

The single thing i have done okay

My whole childhood. I had deviated septum since birth that makes it almost impossible to breathe thru nose, i undergone nose surgery and that is fixed now, but the damage was done.
I have recessed mandible that destroyed my TMJs, gave me a forward head posture and messed up my spine on structural level.
I cant blame my parrents tho... they are to mainstream and dont understand how this is all connected. They are from a diffrent time

I have to mouth breath at night. I've done so for 7+ years.
I have sleep apnea, I am on a waiting list to get a hospital appointment for it.

Yep. Had to force myself to stop.

yes, yes I did, and now I am slack jawed

I grew up very sedentary so I was nose breathing pretty much all the time and yet I still ended up with a leafy tier side profile so I don't think it matters
