I don't think I ever really looked at any of my friends and went "yeah that guy is my best friend". I've had friends who at certain points in my life I spent more time with than others, but who those people were would change every few months. I've always been pretty socially nomadic. Part of it was because I thought if I went out and met more people it would increase my chances of getting a gf, but there's no socialcirclemaxxing for your face. Aside from that I also compartmentalized my social circles. I had friends I went clubbing with, friends I went to anime conventions with, friends I'd play fighting games with, friends I'd play basketball with, etc.
But I've had close friends who were tall, yes. I posted about one on this forum a few times. He was a 6'5 gymcel. Roided up truecel. We met at the gym and I actually thought he was WAY older than me, but it turned out he was only a year older than I was. We went clubbing together and I'd see him get brutally rejected over and over. He coped hard though. He was basically like a proto-redpiller. He's also the ugliest guy I have ever personally known, and the only guy I've known who legit looked worse than me.

I only had a few friends in Elementary school but none in High school or middle school so the heightism stuff didn't apply back then really (excluding bullying)
