Humans are a terrible and deeply flawed species. The pain of being thirsty outweighs the fleeting pleasure of drinking water.

Like joy is just when one of the difficulties in my life is lessened, like getting off work or taking a nap after a tiring day. It’s like schopnehauer said “unless suffering is the direct and immediate object of life, our existence must entirely fail of its aim.”
