it's not that good tbh

1 was great (half of the game) rest of games not so much. With DS3 they turned game into Dance Dance Revolution rhythm game

Played for 2 minutes and quit

dark souls 2 was good

Demons souls dark souls black souls

Souls games drains me energy tbh

But that’s just me being ass at games

I like it way more than WoW's combat system, feels way more interactive and you can actually dodge/parry attacks. Also, way less grindy and RNG based to upgrade your character

it's not overrated, rather overhyped. It is really not for everyone

FF7 has more lore then all the dark souls games combine and actually has its own story to tell.

Through the years ,since a child, i played SNES, Gamecube, Wii and Wii U and PC, and Dark Souls saga was very fun and my recent favorite, and yes, the difficulty had a big role. Both Zeldas games i completed (To compare with something similar and not a Mario game), Twilight Princess and Skyward, while they had WAY better story telling, they also were baby easy and barely felt fear of death while playing.

Agree

Another bait thread
I think the main reason I don't like it becausae there was non stop glaze about the game so I only heard the positives not negatives

DS1 combat is better than WoW I agree

I couldn't beat or get through the second boss in Dark Souls 1.

Was playing it on computer and realize I have terrible reaction speed, and swing my sword too fast early on.

May try it on the PS5 someday.

Dark souls is soft edgy humour if it was a game.

barely felt fear of death while playing.
Is dark souls main gimmick giving you the fear of death?

Also, try to 100% majoras mask without looking anything up nigga

Twilight princess is known for being relatively easy. Skyward sword.. I forgot, but probably mid difficulty

True
None of those games are hard nor do they require skill FromShit fans only praise Dark Soy for the false sense of achievement

Let me be delusional and feel a fake sensation of triumph when In play them.

You mean collect all items apart from killing bosses and doing dungeons? I don't like collectionism, just fighting

Skyward Sword hero mode + no shield was pretty fun and challenging, but you must beat the game 1 time first and no shield is a self imposed challenge.

They are hard, don't know what you mean, because you will die lot of times if you are new to this genre to complete each games. If you mean the dificulty is artificial, that is other thing.

Elden Ring can be pretty easy tho, the ashes summon are easy mode. I beated the game without them , harder and more fun

Taurus demon can lose lots of HP, get up the tower and do a jump attack when he chases you, to do masive damage. If timing roll feels too hard, try using a shield (Remember to put it down between enemy attacks, so stamima regens faster) . When you master it, try rolling again.

They are hard
They're the most normie, streamlined games out there
if they were truly hard no one would play them

They are hard, you sound like are into SUPER MEGA hard games, harder games than Souls, probably there are, still Souls are hard, compared to most games out there. Did you beat any souls? How many times you died?

I remember my sex haver cousin tried DS3 and couldn't beat the first boss, and left it

Thanks for the tip. I'll try to remember this.

For a while, I thought I had to get a stronger weapon as well.

no one plays a souls game for the lore or story lol

Most weapons are good, but its only viable as a newcomer to max upgrade 1 weapon only, like you marry with it, or you will probably need to farm materiales if you want to change and upgrade another one.

First upgrade to the max your main weapon, only then, go for shield and armor. That is the order of importante.

Also, remember that if you are human (Not hollow) , many times you will see near bosses entrances, summon signs that you can interact with to bring npcs or players to help you fight.

Also, you can use 2 liquid humanities , one to turn alive and other one to burn on a bonfire to get +5 estus (heal) uses. Also, use the firekeeper souls you will find on the world, talking to the Firekeeper, to increase the heal of Estus flask, NEVER consume them by yourself.

Also, i recommend leveling first vigor (HP) up to 50, that way you can make more mistakes while learning the game mechanics and enemies movesets

Just force players to look up how to beat your overpretentious game theory

Just force players to look up how to beat your overpretentious game theory
how is the game overpretentious, it's literally as basic as it can get
you walk in, you beat up the bad guy, you move on
dunno why people place an overemphasis on the barely present lore lol

Maybe for you, I am porn brained decade of depression brain rot and am listening to podcasts while dying 50 times to the same attack.

If you can hit the bull's eye four times in a row, you're a genius. Hidetaka Miyazaki did it with the Dark Souls series, Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Elder Ring.

DS is now outdated, visually and gameplay-wise. It was never finished (hello dragon asses in Lost Izalith). Its interface is full of riddles, which goes against all design canons.

But the author managed to create a new genre, make it popular, and over the years bring it to near perfection.

Besides the fact that DS1 is a good, interesting adventure, its significance is revealed in how the series and the genre have evolved.

Many things are better seen from afar, but some things are better seen up close (this applies to many cultural phenomena, the meaning of which eludes without context).

Or just get good by trying over and over , and explore the world to get stronger

Remember to level up vigor first until second softcap, so you can survive more errors

Dark souls is only hard if you have adhd/autism

I've never played dark souls
