A much higher number than I'd expect from the US compared to other common tourist destinations. And of course, Slovakia is greener than anyone around us:feelshaha:.

True, but still wild though.
Its not when you think about it. America's geographical location is simply too overpowered. There are many incredible sights within the country.

True, but the domestic tourists still need money to move around their country, that's what I meant. It shows you how much ability Americans have to move around their large country.

It's (not) a mystery for sure:feelsjuice:.

Amtrak exists, and im pretty sure America finance mogs almost every single country(in nominal) except countries(for per-captia) that were designed for the sole purpose of being tax havens for corrupt oligrachs.

:yes::yes:

Poor countries usually don't get even domestic tourists, as their people can't afford to move around their own countries.

I mean if they have monuments or shieet. People need stuff to visit...

Ah, interesting. The US is very high.. there's a lot to see here but didn't think it'd be the top in the world. Maybe english language helps with reducing that barrier since it seems to be a relatively commonly learned language.

Mostly domestic tourism like @endoftheskies pointed out

Interesting, a major narrative here is that we don't have good rail systems or public transportation, and that we need to aspire to european and asian countries with their affordable, fast, and widespread rail systems. it's also a big anti-car argument on our "political left." but, turns out that is false i guess? Unsurprising since most of these major political narratives seem inaccurate.

We really don't have good rail infrastructure. Amtrak is incredible, but. We really could use some high-speed trains and if the government could unfuck it that would be good.
