More and more Im convinced that cosplaying for most women is just an easy way to rack up a huge follower base from men, but if you looked into it you’ll quickly realize most of these girls have no clue about the series they dress up for.

My favorite example would be the Bayonetta series. The dominatrix witch dominates all of Tik Tok and IG cosplay culture, so much so you’d be convinced that the series was really popular, only to realize it’s a franchise that can barely pass 1 million in sales. These females can’t be bothered to buy and support the games after they leach off their character designs smh….

Another of my favorite examples would be JennaLynn Meowri. Started off back in 2018 doing very erotic cosplays of anime and videogame characters and dubbed herself a cosplayer. She eventually figures that nobody actually gives a fuck about her cosplays and only follow her cause she’s hot, so she drops the dress up and now just sits around in lingerie 24/7

Anyway, maybe this is just me being a "boomer", but i find cosplay as a whole to be unbearably cringe, you're literally an adult dressing up as a cartoon character in public, think about it.
