They only have as much support as they do because of recent events. We wouldn't be talking about this in 2014. We'd barely be talking about it in 2017.
Because now people are waking up to how much they're getting cucked by cops. Before people trusted cops more because their corruption was hidden from the public and not widely covered, but now almost everyone knows about it.

There's a big cop watching community that existed way before now. They've been getting millions of views on youtube for years.
Viral videos do not a movement make. We've been laughing at dumb criminals for longer than we've laughed at scary cops, does that count as a movement?
The sheeple who laugh at "criminals" just because cops labeled them as such are starting to question the things cops say. Once normies start questioning and criticizing them they will never go back to blind obedience to cucked cops again.
Again, this movement is new. Also, A&E's ratings have plummeted since they took away Live PD, so there's clearly still a demand for "copaganda." Give this a few years, we'll see if Live PD is back on the air and whether or not anyone remembers the name "George Floyd."
Live pd shows are filled with black "criminals" that will never be accepted again by the mainstream media. Those cop worshipers are going to have to find some new entertainment, or stop deriving pleasure from seeing struggling minorities get bullied by cucked cops over dumb "crimes".
But see, there's strong demand for the show to come back. More demand than there is for the show to stay gone. Evidence that this "movement" doesn't have legs. Give it a few months/years. Wait until after the election, maybe.
If it comes back it will re-ignite the anti-cop flames. The cops are going to have to walk on egg shells from now on to prevent themselves from being defunded.
Why would they? Why from "now" on? If it goes away, but then comes back, why isn't it comparable to when outrage over Rodney King went away, and then came back? Or the Long Hot Summer? Or Ferguson? Or Fruitvale Station? Or that autistic kid those cops killed? Why is this time the time people are like "I actually don't want to be protected from criminals?"

No one cares about "criminals" who sell and smoke weed, or break any other victimless law. They realized it's the cops who are the real criminals all together, not just "a few bad apples" like they did before. This is the longest it ever went, and black people won't let them get away with excessive force from now on.
But it's not the longest it ever went. Ferguson went longer. And Ferguson still eventually went away.
Also, defunding the police means all of the police. Not just the ones that catch pot smokers. It's resources as a whole that are taken away. It's the force as a whole that's restructured. So yeah, the question is still "How ready do you want the police to be able to protect you?"
This time it won't lose steam, back then people were way more asleep. The cops are starting to respect citizens more than their cucked laws finally.

That's not how police work. Police are bound to uphold all of the laws of their jurisdiction, not just the Constitution. If you want Constitution-only cops, you have to change local statutes.
That change is what is going to have to happen. Cops are cucks who can't even enforce the laws equally on everyone, so might as well get rid of all the cucked laws entirely. Cucked cops will never treat foids like men, so because they can't do their jobs properly they must be removed.

Cops are just tools and they get their orders from the State or House of Representatives, they are the ones who make up shitty laws and kick out any resistance in the executive. You are thinking too small, the legislative needs a good cleansing and the government in general has to be defunded. Theft will always be illegal, and there are trackers to track stolen cars these days with wifi. Pre pubescent kids who get abused will have to make a report and take the evidence to a private court. Cucked cops do the same stuff and not much more, not worth the hassle of having them.

Yeah man those 10 year olds will go to the court, get a lawyer and proof beyond a reasonable doubt that the accused is actually guilty. What will actually happen is that a borderline foid tells her child to accuse daddy and the guy will be acquitted because there is no actual investigation, just guessing and emotion based judging.

The ten year old will have to get their parents to help, just like they do today. There will probably also be private detectives willing to work for poor abused kids for free, and the public can donate to them if they want. No need for cucked state cops or taxes.
