My country has them but God has never permitted my truecel eyes to see them. I have missed seeing Northern Lights a comical amount of times.

I think it's beautiful, unfortunately I've never seen one and I don't intend to.
Countless opportunities, countless instances of bad luck leading me to miss it. Typically me sleeping through it or simply being inside rotting, because I seem to be the only one who is always without the knowledge of when these things happen. I guess I managed to miss both "being neurotypical day" and "Northern Lights-info day" growing up.
I wouldn't even be surprised if I go my entire life without ever seeing them, despite the fact that they happen in my country all the time. I even frequent the areas where they happen the most too. Man

I think I saw some a few years ago. There was a reddish shimmer in the sky towards the north.

It was at least twenty years ago. I was looking out the window at my grandmaโs place in the evening, as I often did.
It was hard to make out, it was a faint red glow.
But I had never seen anything like that before.
Here in Germany, this phenomenon is very rare.
