Replaced the thermal paste and shieeet because the fan was loud now the fan stays nice and quiet. Altough i fucked up while putting the ribbon cable that the jews made intentionally hard to put back in so now i have to resort to shorting it with a screwdriver whenever i want to start it up but still i think i increased its lifespan nevertheless. it will live to fight another day.

Also took like 5 hours from 9 to 14 today

Favorite games on your 360?

You mean favourite game i beat on 360 or favourite game of that whole generation? Because i also have a ps3 and i beat more games on ps3 than xbox 360. But as for the favourite game i beat on my 360 i would say Skyrim. And i also liked Black Ops 1 especially the zombies. Sonic Unleashed as well, and Red Dead Redemption 1.

Great picks I just meant favorite games that you played on your 360 it doesn't matter if they're multi platform

isn't the 360 kinda cope because the xbox one can play most of the games

Honestly, I am surprised your 360 still works considering their horrible failure rate.

Otherwise a great console and time to be alive but the failure rate made me avoid the console.

I have an xbox one though, and play some 360 games on it.

Might get more in the future.

Well done, brocel. I had to take mine apart a few weeks ago to clean it; getting that X-shaped clamp off at the back was the hardest part.

Which model do you have?

That depends on which model you have, as far as I know.

Yes, that is correct, but even the more reliable models were still build poorly, as in their cooling system.

They were just not built to be cooled properly.

If you look at xbox one and xbox series consoles, Microsoft has started playing it very safe ever since.

Now the consoles run very cool and quiet but also look like living room PCs, if you ask me.

I still don't get why Microsoft won't just force developers to offer full mouse and keyboard support for xbox one and xbox series games.

The OS is based on Windows anyway. It would make shooters and such much more enjoyable.

Yes, you're right, the cooling on my Xbox 360 S isn't great either. I had two of the first models before, and they all had the same problem: they wouldn't read the discs anymore.

I wouldn't use my Xbox 360 that much anymore, but modding Xbox 360 games is really difficult.

I have also read that there is something wrong with the soldering in many models. In other words, Microsoft were cheapskates back then and that caused many consoles to fail.

Btw, the 360 controller is the absolute best controller I've ever held in my hands.

I wish Microsoft would still make them for the current gen ... .

Best feel, for me. Also the quality was great. Last good gen, despite the issues of the console itself.

The last great console ^_^

Have you ever tried toothpaste instead of thermal paste? I've heard it works

You can substitute it with an xbox one or series x even thanks to downward compatibility.

I kind of meant the whole console though. How it did updates, how it functioned... the overall experience, as it existed back then.

I don't think it's possible to do it now.

It is possible if Microsoft wants it.

Btw, I am still high af.

W. Still the best Xbox ever

Nothing beats the original feel and holding the 360 controller

What’s the Xbox 360 model you own

I'm scared to open it up and breaking it.
