China received most of the technology from the USSR to create a nuclear bomb, then after the debunking of the cult of Stalin's personality, China created a separate version of communism (Maoism), which captured the minds of Western youth and became really popular, especially in France or the United States. Then China changed sides and became an ally of the United States, as it already had its own nuclear bomb and was independent in its policy. He was able to get investments from the United States and the relocation of Western companies, but at the same time, with the help of cunning diplomacy from China, unlike other countries where the United States did business, it did not require respect for human rights, freedom of speech and democracy. This is essentially a complete victory for China, which was able to get everything it needed from both the USSR and the United States, provided that during the entire Cold War, China fought with both sides at different times (the Korean War and the Damansky incident)

In fact, the entire policy of the PRC in the Cold War is the pinnacle of the art of Machiavellianism , when the end justifies the means.

The Austrian American Jews moved Nuclear technology through Russian Jews. In 1969 the Soviets floated the idea to US of doing a preemptive strike on China's nuclear facilities. But the US didn't approve.

The first cold was all performative to get funding to building up space programs. It started with the US getting Nazi rocket scientists.

Now Hypersonics are the new threat of our New Cold War. Putin has already used them in Ukraine.

The super powers all need the Multi-Polar world order(Mutually Assured Destruction)

The problem is that they don't give a fuck about their own citizens or small states.

China can only win by keep rival powers alive.

China has dodged a nuclear bomb twice in one century. General Douglas MacArthur proposed dropping a nuclear bomb on China for the first time in Korean war, but this could threaten a retaliatory nuclear strike from the USSR, which had also been nuclear since 1949. Later, the USSR wanted to drop a nuclear bomb on China in response to the border conflict on Damansky island, but then the United States did not allow it.

yea but america had far more nukes, the USSR would have easily lost that war
The USSR would have likely steam-rolled up to Iberia & Italy in Europe but then would have lost a long-term war

The Damansky incident and the Soviets were a far greater existential thread to China than the U.S. Chinese/Soviet cooperation had been tenuous at its best, China has always placed its own security and national ambitions over ideology. It was only a matter of time before based Nixon broke bread with them, Damansky was the final straw.

easier said than done, they were exhausted and the USSR was on the brink of famine after WW2
