The near-plateauing of income in the 30-something age bracket doesn't surprise me, I've seen some articles on income mobility basically ending at 30 or so for most people, but the median salary even declining with age after 50 kind of surprised me. I guess that could be expected, but still, it just shows you how much of a peak the 20-45 (maybe 50) period is in people's lives, objectively.
