Many sexual abuse victims as children only suffer the traumas later in life as the elders talk to them in a way that makes them feel guilty & like they engaged in something bad, it's treated like they went through the worst thing in the world. A small child when it falls & hurts itself looks to a parent to see how it should react, cry & wail or laugh & get over it.
