Castlevania Rondo of Blood is my favorite classic Castlevania

Imo it's the best classic Castlevania. It's still just as difficult as 4 but lacks the obnoxious bottomless pits and grappling sections. There's also a ton of exploration and secret levels which adds to replayability. All of them are worth trying but if you're new to classic Castlevania I suggest rondo of blood.

You can also play as Maria which serves as easy mode if you're bad at the game.

[Midnight Animal]

Based castlevaniacel. Rob and sotn are my favorite castlevanias (played most if not all games from series). I did no hit/whip only level runs in rob, it was a fun challenge.

Platformers/metroidvanias are fun to play because they feel like 'games' compared to modern slop interactive movies.
