Career advice Being sub inspector or being in IT sector

I wonder what should I do. IT sector have good potential to grow like in terms of money hikes as I am studying cs currently.
On the other hand my father is asking me to go for being a SI in police instead like he have some connections with people so with money I can just get there but potential to make money is low untill and unless I do corruption i wonder what I should go ahead with
