I'm not believing the results so far. The pull up is the ultimate sign of upper body strength and a very good sign of overall total body strength and fitness.

There's too many fatsos and skinnies with no muscle here who like to shit on gymceling for the results to make sense.

But it's still early.

When I was try hard in the gym I was able to do like 23 in a row. Dead hang and slow too. Right now I could probably do 10
 
I never do them because pull downs are better, but I can probably do 15-20

That's pretty damn good. You're ahead of probably 70% of gym goers and ahead at least 95% of the general population.

Ten was my peak at 220 pounds. Now I can barely crank out four at close to 240 pounds.

Most are probably troll votes. I’ve been gymcelling for years so I can do 8-10 in a row despite having bad muscle genetics. Also I’m 160 pounds so not super heavy.

Before I went to the gym I couldn’t do a single pull up so I don’t believe most users here can either. Votes are public so they will lie. Had this been a private poll you’d have probably got more honest responses

When I worked out I would be able to do over 50 push ups, yet could only do 4 pull ups at my peak.

That sounds about right. Your push up: pull up ratio will usually be around 10:1, give or take.

i used to be physically active so i’m betting i could do one or two on the pull up bar. but actually not sure, as by physically active i mean pretty far long back when i did track and cross country and more recently which was still long ago, i’d fill multiple large buckets with colossal rocks and carry them up the whole time back down to fill them again and carried up again so while my arms and the rest of my upper area became really toned and nice i was surprised at the fact i was no longer out of shape at the time. i think that was the first time i truly tasted it, started to get why people work out so much. it’s fucking euphoric. i’m currently out of shape but considering i was then too and pulled it off then instantly fell lightly (all the good improv in grip and balance) to be agile i wouldn’t think it’s impossible for me. ten might be a lot but it’s just one. i’ve gotten rusting joints so it would probably take everything though in this shape
