I almost never lift weights except when the exercise just cannot be done without them.

It’s better to do a lot of reps just using your own body.
The push-up is better than the bench press.
The pull-up is better than the machines.
The body weight squat is better than the weighted squat.
Etc.

The reason for this is that it is more important how well you move your own body, not how much weight you can lift.

If you think that you cannot get a good workout without weights……you are mistaken.
You just are not doing enough reps.

For example, with weights, you may do a total of 30 or 40 squats.
Try 300 squats without any weights.
 
its a waste of time
if u can do more than 30 normal pushups instead do 10 of an advanced variety
if u can do 20 pullups do 7 weighted pullups instead
that way u will have both mogger strength and endurance on a light weight

what next jog at 5 km/ph speed for 3 times as long rather than just normal pace ?
 
"The body weight squat is better than the weighted squat" What do you think is the point of lifting past your weight, your body has to be able to produce force more than your bodyweight to move it.

The only way any of this works is if your consistently doing plyos and calesthenics.
