Ah Japan Airlines Flight 123. What a disaster. The Japanese government could've actually saved a lot of them if they had been there on time at the crash site. But they assumed that everyone would've died on impact. However in reality, a surprising number of passengers survived the initial crash and instead died from exposure due to suffering severe injuries and not receiving adequate medical attention in time.
It was a miracle the pilots were able to keep the plane airborne for as long as they did. for 30 minutes. Even nowadays, current simulations of this flight are used as practice by American pilots to see how they'd respond to the absolute loss of control of a plane. The mean is 16 minutes. So the 30 minutes these pilots managed to keep the plane airborne is considered a miracle. Still, nothing could be done in the end.
Well that was nice of them. We live in a society, apparently.
All of this could've been prevented if the engineers and safety inspectors were more thorough in their work. But this was the 80s so things weren't as good as they are now.
The 4 survivors probably had one of the most brutal experiences because one of them recounted how the air was filled with hear the screams of the dying from the survivors that survived the initial crash.
Life as an incel feels like the last 30 minutes of this plane's journey, knowing that it is merely delaying the inevitable result of roping.
