38-year-old Ramon de Jesus Guedes put on a horrifying scene for all his neighbors. On the balcony of his apartment in the Granville das Artes complex, he bludgeoned his wife to death. Shocked neighbors could only watch the murder unfold and hear her desperate screams. Some reportedly tried to break down the apartment door to help, but all efforts failed.
Shortly after the attack, Ramon attempted to escape by climbing down the balconies, but on the last one, he stumbled and fell. After hitting the ground, he pretended to be dead to avoid arrest and try to flee unnoticed. However, people were not fooled. He was apprehended and is currently awaiting trial.
