AGUAÍ, SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL – APRIL 5, 2026 According to police, 29-year-old Joice Ariana da Cruz Oliveira was chased by her ex-boyfriend and then stabbed more than thirty times near Praça dos Aposentados square.

The suspect is a 38-year-old man who previously had a relationship with the victim and, according to investigators, was still in contact with her. The woman reportedly refused to get into his truck, after which he began following her and attacked her at a roundabout. Even after she fell to the ground, he continued the assault and then fled the scene.
