What made me fall in love with the game.
I’m not proud to admit it, but I had a mega DSP moment when fighting her initially.
I’d say her second encounter was also really well done, but not as much as her introduction. Thankfully, she was one of the only original bosses in the game that wasn’t beaten to death by resurrection. I hated the way all the bosses lost their edge thanks to how they kept showing up as multiple mini boss fights that could be avoided later on. Really cheap shit.
Not the best or most complex boss in the game, but I thought the presentation was great.
The Hunter was what solidified Dead Space, in my opinion, and it was also the first “scary” element of the game, purely because you couldn’t really kill it, not until the game wanted you to.
