It's been almost two weeks since I started my sugar wash. Soon it will be done fermenting...

Then I'll run it through the still.

I figure I'll get a five quarts worth of whatever proof rumlike booze.

I'll be drinking it alone ofc.

I hope it doesn't taste like the last batch. Not all the sugar fermented and it was nasty. I put too much sugar in it, thinking the Champlain yeast would bump it up higher. Instead of using the regular recipe...

Blah blah blah. Cheap boos.

It takes a lot of time. And sugar wine is faster. Two pounds of brown sugar per gallon of water and one bread yeast package! You can buy a still on Amazon for $100! But it's very slow process to make booze and takes many hours of precise heat!

For many years I quit because it's such a timesucking hassle! Every few years I make a some and slug it down. It's like a mood or something.

Wine is fast but it take a half gallon to get blackout drunk. Each pint is like three beers.
