Seriously, when is the last time you've seen someone tackle or address this issue? It doesn't surprise me that so many shooters exist, it's the only way to get acknowledged as a man going through suffering.

Some teen whore offs herself because her nudes were (rightfully) leaked? Someone alert the press! Get Twitter and Facebook to paint her as a martyr! Numerous lonely men die because they've been bullied and socially excluded their whole lives? Who cares! Hell, that one guy live-streamed himself doing it yet I can't find a single article about him.

It's the same reason why we're the only ones given the "just be confident and shower bro!" and "stop being depressed you pussy!" advice, because our entire society is apathetic towards males - especially ones who show weakness.
