So I decided to go to the fucking event again at my local university.
This time, not that many people came. Just four people.
There were a bunch of Japanese girls.

The girls were just talking with couple of chads who do not know anything about the language.
I came with my incel friend who doesn't know much Japanese and we got ignored by the girls completely - they did not want to talk with us.
I even tried talking with them, they laughed at my jokes but they still ignored us after the jokes. WTF?!!

Eventually one Japanse guy, who I thought was my friend, talked with us.
He seemed so cold, maybe the Japanese girls have told shit about me.


Anyways, the stereotype about Japanese being kind.
It's fucking bullshit.

There was a competition about pronuncing tongue twisters in pairs.
The japs were supposed to give the winner some japanese candy.
I did it with my friend and we won (because I am fucking awesome).

except for us

Started:
-English at 9, I was around 13 when I started understanding some basic English (I was lazy)
-Swedish at 13, I can currently understand written Swedish pretty well but I don't understand it spoken because of the accent
-German at 14, studied it on and off. I can understand what they say in many WW2 movies (giving orders, telling about weapons in how they work) but it's hard to understand when people talk about politics or cooking food and so on
-Japanese at age 19. Just wanted to learn an asian language and heard Japanese is pretty easy for Finnish speakers. Can't really deny that, it's so natural to learn all the verb conjugations. It's like simpler versions of Finnish conjugations (the concept, not the actual conjugation)
-Spanish at 20. Had to do one course in Spain (in English) but my classmates wanted someone to know some Spanish because the locals don't usually know English that well. I can order food, ask for directions and ask if it's safe to swim in this place (we swimmed a lot)
-Chinese at 21. Had a lot of Chinese friends and learned a lot of them. I often get praised for my accent but it's hard to understand political talks. I did HSK level 3 exam and passed it so I'd say I am round mid level. I have studied bunch of characters too (that are also used in Japanese)

Hard to understand spoken, easier to understand written.
It feels like simplified Finnish in terms of grammar and the words are often shorter in general.
