The biggest database of books and academic papers on the planet has recently been taken down,with 11 million books on record and 74 million accademic/research journals.This has happened following the site blowing up on tiktok or (booktok) because of many content creators, mostly dirty foids wanting to go viral.The site saw an unprecedented amount of traffic and caught the eye of the US govt who were finally forced to do something after 13 years of the site being online.Some have compared the site being taken down to the burning of the Library of Alexandria.There were many books on there that can't be found anywhere else online or by any book retailers and new books that gets published gets released on there in a matter of hours harming the livelihoods of many authors.Two people have been identified (including one toilet) as the owners of Zlibrary and have been arrested and charged for profiting off an illegal buisness as well as massive piracy.

yeah but apparently the zlib database became much larger than libgen because new books on Zlibrary weren't shared with libgen so it got left behind when it comes to the catalog of the books.
