What is the best pokemon game, I have never actually played pokemon, however I have watches the full anime, I want to start, I only ever played it once on my cousins 3ds but besides that I have not. What Pokemon game or games do you recommend me to play.

Content wise probably Black/White 2 that game has so much stuff and it was really ambitious how it pushed the DS to the limit (I think it's the biggest DS game).

My favorite is Platinum but I understand some people find it slow or grindy compared to the others.

HgSs was perhaps the best example of a remake done correctly. A few things annoyed me but otherwise it's a very solid remake for a great gen.

Still I have to go with the original Gen 2 as the best Everything after that just felt like it was trying to catch up

Gen 1 was... Gen 1. You can't really critique it because it's what started the global craze back then and we had no reference. But Gen 2 built on that and was just... perfect in so many ways The biggest draw to gen 2 was the feeling of a fully dynamic world: trainers called you, daily events happened, morning/day/night transition, weekly events, shopping sales, swarms... the game felt like it lived and breathed with YOU, the player.

...and then gen 3 promptly got rid of all of that.

Gen 5 was trying way too hard to be cinematic and a yapfest. I wanted to explore and train my Pokemon. Not hear from some green haired twink that he can hear the cries of a Blitzle

Gen 3 was more or less a soft reboot of the franchise. It was actually quite infuriating at the time. I eventually played it years later back in my late teens. Had some cool features and looked pretty but it was really lacking in gameplay

I think Pokémon Ruby/Omega Ruby is awesome. I love the third generation of Pokémon. On top of that, the gym leader Flavia is super hot.
