Back then I tried to share my interests to people to try, and socialize with them. Nowadays I don't because it seems like everything I do irks or weirds people out.
In my experience, it's best to share as little as possible with others unless you know them very well (eg. family members). Being mocked for your interests, habits, or the media you consume is extremely common. Even if someone asks you something like "what music do you listen to?" just say that you listen to nothing.

Yeah I've come to that conclusion. I don't have any friends, and I caught my family talking shit about me behind my back (Mom accidently sent me a text mocking me instead of sending it to my sisters).
Pretty much all of my interests I get shamed for it. Video games, music, YouTube videos, everything.

Family would judge/make fun of me for laughing at YouTube videos. I would watch something funny, and they would mock me for it. When I was a kid I used to watch YouTube Poops, and they'd mock me, and say the stuff I was watching is weird, and I shouldn't be watching it. Starting to realize that my first bullies in life were them.
I used to listen to Sonic Mania's ost a lot back in 2017-2018. My favorite songs were Press Garden, Stardust Speedway, and Metallic Madness.
That's how it was for me back in High School. It's why I stopped talking to people or socializing in general once my sophomore year started.
