I'm gonna listen to the FF6 and FF7 soundtracks for the first time in several years

WARNING: contains spoilers for ff6 and ff7

This will probably be a storm of emotions I'm not ready for. Nowadays I no longer have patience for turn based RPGs, but the OSTs and some of the characters/themes will stay with me forever.

The
world of ruin segment from FF6 and the northern cave segment from FF7
are particularly disturbing for me, because I can't help but think about the post-2012 world when listening to the corresponding tracks, and this gloom was reinforced later during the COVID lockdowns. My life was by no means good before 2012, the problem is that things became unreasonably bad and unexpected after that year. I went to college for a CS degree, thinking it would make me rich, but it was just one headache after another, and no one wanted to do group projects with me. Graduated with honors, but then found out nobody cared about my grades due to me being sub5. Then things just got worse and worse...

In FF6,
the magitek factory always stands out, more than kefka's tower in some ways, since this is where the espers were tortured. The bosses there were really weird too. Then there's the floating island, where everything goes to shit.

FF7
has Cloud's forced trauma, and he coped by pretending to be a 1st Class SOLDIER like Zack.

I nearly cried like a bitch with the Pokémon Emerald uncompressed soundtrack, and Chrono Trigger's, so I'm not sure what's gonna happen with these other two. Even if my life was shit, I'm glad I got to experience these games.

There was this one minigame in an arcade machine at an amusement park or something in a Final Fantasy game.

You can drive a motorcycle there, but I have forgotten which Final Fantasy it is.

Do you know it, by any chance?

Also, what is the place is this?

At the same place you can also participate in a Chocobo Race.

FF6 and FF7 have great soundtracks. I can think of no other that is as consistently good as FF6's.

Just like I thought, it was the dark world theme from ff6 that would get me. It represents things that shouldn't have happened, but happened anyway. And things that should've changed, but didn't anyway. The remaining tracks from this are either dark or bittersweet for the most part.
Because even though they defeated Kefka, he still killed a bunch of people, destroyed entire islands, and it's gonna take forever to rebuild everything

I'm currently in the process of reverting all the damages my authority figures (mostly parents and teachers) have caused me, but I wonder if this is all worth the trouble. I can tell that I come across as a pathetic coper when people look at me. I've even had a woman at work ask me why I was going to the gym. I was supposed to do a bunch of different shit this year before turning 32, but I found additional health conditions and I'm doing cuck administrative work. I keep finding out horrible shit about my past and about my health problems and I hope that particular saga ends before I turn 33. I want to have a car. I want to learn how to swim. I want to learn how to play an instrument. No matter how fucking futile or childish those things seem
