I was just watching a documentary on TV. At some point there were three things that would be considered mildly "cringey" or weird if done by ugly people: medieval reenactment (LARPing as knights), bird watching and taming, and a new kind of sport imported from Africa.

Yet the guys involved in these activities were ABSOLUTELY COOL. Everything they said carried great importance and authority. It looked like they had a lot of fun, did so in a natural and exciting way, and it made you feel like joining them.

All the people featured in this documentary were 7+ women and men. Some were absolute "overhumans" (Ubermenschen) with incredible chin profile, jaw definition and eye color.

It's over, looks affect everything. That's also why advertising, movies and TV shows always tend to have handsome actors on set.

I know it's ridiculousy obvious for long-time incels, but there's the odd normie that isn't blackpilled yet about looks.

YOU ARE YOUR LOOKS. YOU'RE COOL WHEN YOU'RE HANDSOME, UNCOOL WHEN YOU'RE UGLY. IT'S NOT ABOUT YOUR ACTIVITIES OR HOBBIES. EVERYTHING IS UNCOOL IF YOU'RE UGLY, EVERYTHING IS COOL IF YOU'RE HANDSOME

Agreed. Made a thread about "Social Game" regarding this.

Sad, but true.

I feel it's especially important for teenagers to be blackpilled about it.

STOP WASTING MONEY ON EXPENSIVE CLOTHING OR WASTING TIME LISTENING TO "COOL" MUSIC YOU DON'T LIKE - IT WILL NEVER MAKE YOU COOL

CHAD LOSES HIS VIRGINITY EARLIER THAN YOU IN CHEAP CLOTHES AND WITH AN INTEREST IN CLASSICAL MUSIC

Classical music and good will clothes are actually great, though. You can find really good looking stuff at used clothes stores and thrift shops. Buying some shit shirt made in a sweat shop for 30 dollars or more is a joke.

I thought everybody here already agreed on this. Halo Effect is established beyond any doubt.

I create these threads for the Guests, not the members. Knowing halo effect at 13 yo would have saved me from a lot of embarassment and money wasted on expensive sneakers/clothes.

Halo effect is the most important social phenomenon. You need to understand it to understand social dynamics, notably among teenagers. Yet psychology, psychiatry and education are mostly silent about it (except for the odd study that always proves it). It's fortunate that the internet is there to spill the beans, to say the emperor has no clothes.

I'm merely saying aloud what everyone intuitively knows, including pre-teens, but isn't sure about because nobody talks about it publicly.

Sorry for the probably stupid question but isn't Halo Effect the thing where you attract others (mostly females) by radiating that you have a lot of fun while not caring what others think about it in PUA theory? Or are there different Halo Effects/PUAs define it differently than incels?

All the cool kids were also good looking?
Wow I never knew...

:yes::yes::yes:
There is a reason why an incel doing traditionally "cool" things are considered "try-hards" or "fakers"

Seen it with my own eyes, back in middle school girls sometimes made fun of me because I played wow. Then one day during a break I was talking about Ulduar patch with soon-to-be chad and the same girls saw it. To my surprise later I see one of them asking him about game, is it interesting blah blah.

Halo effect is purely about looks. PUA scammers have no right on the "halo effect" brand.

Lol I've seen dozens of these examples. I've seen someone playing electric guitar get mocked by girls, and a boring WoW player get girls. It's suifuel when it happens, but then you start to think.

But weren't PUAs popular in like mid-2000s and Incels are relatively new? (~2016)?:kys:

Astoundingly wise post.

This is what I was going on about the other day! Everyone who has every been to school knows that the social hierarchy there is totally predicated on looks. The only people who are actually bluepilled are those that are cognitively dissonant to the hopelessness of their own situation.

Everyone knows that they personally are seeking out the most attractive partner they realistically can, why would they expect others to behave differently? The answer is they don’t, unless it is someone they personally are interested in, in which case they give realism a rose tinted rethink.

Some of the coolest people are the ugliest. In fact they usually are because people who are genuinely cool are usually weird.

If by cool you mean stereotypical "popular" kid then yeah I guess.
