I told him that it could not have been a shitskin because his name allegedly is Arthur A.

He recently purchased a Glock.

He also most likely had to pass a psychological test / evaluation or else he wouldn't have gotten the "big licence".
So, I doubt that he had depression or some shit as those people can't get such licences.
The club membership and usage of the shooting range are expensive, as well as ammunition. He had to either rent a locker / safe at the range or buy one for his apartment / home and if you own that you will get frequent visits from government stooges to check whether everything is in order.
Failing to follow the rules will get your licence revoked and your firearms seized.
I know a thing or two about the whole process because I wwas looking into gun ownership.
