To SOME extent I agree, but there's more nuance than "GEN Z IS SOFT THEY NEED TO BE REAL MEN!"
One very serious problem is that zoomers grew up with a lack of consequence. It's been a very long time since I've been in school, but I've heard from many, many people that schools just don't enforce discipline. The kids just do whatever they want and a lot of the times the teachers let them get away with it. A lot of parents will defend their unruly children if the school tries to punish them, so they just don't bother. I've heard this story a million times, and I doubt they're all just lying. Which brings me to another problem, bad parenting. Parents give their children unsupervised internet access from a young age, don't enforce discipline, and just kind of let them do whatever they want. And finally you have law enforcement in most jurisdictions letting minors effectively commit crime with impunity because they just drop the charges against minors most of the time unless they literally murder someone. And kids these days know everything they can get away with, and many exploit this leniency to the maximum degree possible.
Now....what happens when these kids who were never once held accountable a day in their life as minors finally turn 18? Do you think they'll pivot to being earnest, productive members of society? No, they continue to be a menace to society even after society revokes their plot armor.
But at the same time I don't for a second think the issue is about "comfort". That's just a bunch of redpill masculinity coper STOOOOOIC bullshit, which I'm glad you brought up, because I plan to make a thread about it. Ultimately the issue isn't "muh comfort", the issue is a lack of accountability growing up. Also having grown up terminally online from a very young age is another massive problem.
