I am. I've been exposed to it from an early age thanks to the internet and the media, and now I feel nothing when the most extreme forms of violence are presented to me.

I've realized just how desensitized generations raised on the internet are compared to previous generations. My father, for example, is in his 60s and gets visibly disturbed by the violence in horror films. I can't imagine how he'd react to the gore videos I watched when I was a 12 year old child.

Yea, I was on the internet for too long. It first started with Happy Tree Friends and Cupcakes and became more extreme from there.

By "real violence", do you mean witnessing violent acts in real life, or watching videos depicting acts of violence that occurred in real life?

Both.

it's intriguing.

Yeah I’ve been desensitized for a long time.

Whenever I see anyone be subject to violence, it makes me upset.

Yes. I remember when I saw my first beheading like 20 years ago with some towelhead cutting off a white guy's head and I was disturbed for a couple days.

Now I watch girls get beheaded, dismembered and I laugh and coom.

I got bored of it

watching gore and extreme violence on the internet isnt the same thing as observing it in real life

How do you know? You’ve seen it irl?

It doesn't bother me most people are a waste of space I couldn't bother to feel bad for

I've hunted and slaughtered animals before. The smell, especially of dead deer, was overpowering, but the sight of blood never bothered me.

Sure, it's not the same as violence against humans, but I honestly doubt that I, personally, would be shocked by witnessing someone's violent death, assuming I was in control of the situation.

Yes

I've watched a lot of stuff on the internet, from jihadist beheadings to cartel mutilations. I don't even remember the last time I felt off-put by it. Maybe back when I was first exposed to animal gore as a 14 yr old because you know, humans tend to be sympathetic to pets. But now I don't feel anything towards even that.

I don't particularly enjoy gore either though. I'm long past that edgy phase, and it didn't last long in first place. I'm indifferent to it.

Depends who's getting hurt i don't feel bad I feel more disgusted

Funky town was bad, I have ptsd from that i didnt even watch it fully and I had to be plastered to watch it.

Idk i dont watch gore, fictionally idc tho cos i first played cod AW at a young age lol. Now i acc go around gta killing npcs for fun

Really depends on context especially if it's against someone similar to us like a poor incel getting beaten most of us would empathize.

Most of the time I don't really care, so yeah I'm desensitized to an extent but then again I haven't seen much real world violence (i.e in-person) especially anything with blood.

i saw a video where a baby was halved by a bomb, i could not handle the crying tbh.

i’m desensitised to violence on the screen but if i see real life violence i will definitely tense up.

You see that serial killer active in China it's on gore sights?

I can’t watch anything that involves violence towards the eyes (think of the eye gouging scene from 28 days later)

Or anything that involves sharp objects going up the nose, that one part in squid game where the debt shark threatens the main character during the first episode made me cringe

I got into my porn addiction at 12 from fucking Run The Gauntlet, jfl

pretty much, but I can't stand seeing people eating with their mouth open, I find it revolting lol

Came across a dead cow with a big open wound on its lung stomach area filled with maggots and flies one time when I was little while staying my grandfather’s ranch

It’s the smell that really fucks with you
