Are Light Novels good?

Im thinking of reading LNs like Reverend Insanity and Shadow Slave. Has anybody read those?

I started recently reading Reverend Insanity 2 weeks ago. At 280 chapters something.

MC is the greatest nigga ever.

I recommend Shadow Slave if you aren't really used to reading LNs, it's the first thing I jumped into and I loved it.

Yes, but like in all media you have good ones and bad ones.

Personally i would recommend the best and the most popular:

Chinese: Reverend Insanity, Lord of the Mysteries, My house of horrors.

Japanese: Overlord, Mushoku tensei, Re Zero.

Korean: A regressor Tale of Cultivation, The Second coming of Gluttony

I recommend Reverend Insanity, I am at chapter 1060. I like that the mc doesn't care about others, just about the benefits and does anything to achieve his goals. There is also time travel which is one of my favourite tropes.
Shadow slave is also good, but it is too realistic and I become anxious reading it, I stopped at chapter 790, maybe I will continue sometime in the future.

Read again the chapters around 790, they go to a dance club, I get anxios because I imagine myself in that situation. I still didn't read that part, but I enjoy Reverend Insanity, I'm at 1257. I like reading slowly, 3-4 chapters per day because this way it last longer
