I think because people treat them nicely and they get constant validation，so they are happier than ordinary people，and happy people tend to be willing to help，while ugly people are treated like shit and usually end up becoming sullen，they tend to hate people

I remember several years ago when my appearance peaked(not handsome，but still somewhat goodlooking because I was young， thin and had good skin)，if I looked into the mirror and felt myself good looking，I would be very happy and became confident

and now I am much uglier than before，everytime I look into the mirror and find myself ugly I feel I am trash and get very sad，think people also won't like me and begin to hate the world
