Unfortunately it's not an either/or: the answer is no to both.

Fetishes are NOT fished at birth (you might be predisposed genetically or due to hormones in womb, but life experiences ALWAYS matter) but that doesn't mean you can just program yourself with a fetish to cope.

If anything that might have the reverse effect where you hate what you try and force yourself to like.

For example: due to foid hoops I've in the past thought it might be simpler to be gay, but forcing myself to look at that stuff just made me even more repulsed.
