Discussion Anyone here play chess?

I've tried it a couple times but never got into it because of how bad I am at it. I've been playing a bit the last two days out of boredom. It's something that would be nice to get decent at but it's clear to me I have no natural ability for it

my elo was like 400, but i always played with this guy that was around 900 elo and i won like 60% of the time. so idk what my true elo is.

what i find is its more fun with another person, but just playing randoms online its very boring

You're probably right but I don't have any people to play with and I like playing with randoms in games specifically because I don't like to be judged for my lack of skill

i dont either so thats why i stopped, true its only fun if yall are like very close to eachother in skill level

Not really. If I remember right, back when I was playing it often the highest I got was somewhere between 1350-1450 elo on chess.com

I used to chessmaxx and chessmogs on HS, won a regional tournament against others inkwells
Prob the only thing I was good at, I stopped playing it but recently I took back the habit.
