It's most likely just mental masturbation that I'll never actually act on but I have considered getting into boxing or something like that before. I have a punching bag at home and I've been using it a decent amount the last couple days. Could be a decent thing to split up the rotting. Something to put my incel rage into jfl

Too bad I'm a manlet. It's kind of deterred me from trying stuff like this because I just think it'll be seen as compensating

just do it at home

Probably what I'll end up doing cause I'm high inhib
i used to go to a kickboxing/muay thai club and it was not a pleasant experience i embarassed myself a lot

yes, I spontaneously went to boxing school and spent several months there when i was around 12. Now i have enlarged bones on my fists because of pushups.

I was doing boxing everyday in a chill gym full of religioncopers, its a good way to blow off steam

No, but I’m planning to join a boxing club soon

Im manlet and framelet, no point in doing martial arts

That's what I'd be worried about but I try to rationalise it by thinking that I've embarrassed myself enough over my life and it can't be much worse than that

im 5'3 pretty sure i will lose every fight

Weirdly my frame isn't even that bad. My hands and wrists are small but my shoulder width doesn't look that bad relative to my height anyway.

it can always be worse

No, I stand to gain nothing out of it

Dude it's not about compensating, you have a duty of care to yourself to learn how to defend yourself. It isn't about flexing on people or picking fights either. Learn it, absolutely do it. I think everyone should try to reach their peak of capabilities. Never compare yourself to other people. That will definitely make you not do it or give up.

Sometimes I think back and wish that my parents had forced me into some sport or something when I was around that age just to see if that would have helped me come across a bit more NT. Probably not in reality though

I see yeah you're right. But it's hard not to think about that kind of thing sometimes

Fitness is a massive mental game. Exhaustion and how far you're willing to push yourself let's you learn alot about yourself. Obviously one step at a time. Start anywhere man. There are no rules, you only get out what you put in. You're not trying to go to the Olympics or anything just enjoy the ride. Do it!

lets be honest, your trainer and other participants would make fun of you and treat you like shit just because they can

Back in the day it was alot worse. Most boxing/mma gyms people are quite humble tbh. You'll always get a few odd balls who are ego manicas but it is what it is man. Fuck them. Most trainers are pretty decent. They will definitely try to push you to do your best though. They won't let you half ass it all the time.

Not at all, it's always better than the alternative which is rotting and doing nothing. I like working out, I haven't done any combat training since me early 20s tbh. I started boxing at like the age of 10-11. About the only good thing my father ever did for me because me and my brother got ruthlessly bullied.

Im the lowest of the low, even other losers hate me

I did boxing from 10-12 it was fun I had a good and laid back coach too its probably what made it enjoyable if you want to get you’re endurance up as well it’s a good cope plus it kinda teaches you how to stay calm and “not see red” in a fight makes you think better and teaches how to be less emotional in a fight

But sadly my father forced me to do football and i absolutely fucking hated it

Maybe I should go back it’s been awhile I just need to find that coach again I’ll probably do some stalking on Facebook or somewhat

It kind of is self-destructive compansating, I was really interested and worked out on my own to prepare myself for boxing for about 2 years - running 10k, 2h calisthenics workouts. But then I got blackpilled and had the realization that a good looking guy with a good frame would never resort to fighting for his life with pillow hands in a ring with another suicidal man just to feel more masculine, it ruined combat sports for me.

Train using guns or knives instead, for self defence as well as exercise.

I love watching combat sports, but actually doing it for a living is completely stupid and insane. These men never really grew up. It's all based on ego and wanting people to see you as some bad ass. You should only learn it to defend yourself in a possible real life altercation, that's it.

Or just learn 'take down defence' and a HARD 'straight right hand'. These two techniques from boxing and wrestling is all that is needed for self defence. :bigbrain:

I want to try it, as others pointed out, you need to learn how to defend yourself

It's also kind of a "tradition" in my family

If you have to force yourself to do it, you’ll get nothing out of it

I did BJJ for 7 years and quit a while ago it was good for a while but the older i got the more it got boring i achieved a brown belt after all the time

Good consideration. It's probably the best martial art you could learn for overall life utility.
