Any of you guys had deer meat before?

I just had some.

Now I know what people mean by it tasting "gamey".

Compared to beef it has a woodsy smell/taste to it. When I chew on it I can almost smell and taste wood/berries.

I did, but as patties. Had a very grassy and furry taste to it

i made four double cheeseburgers with toppings and ate them with frozen checkers fries. Probably the most I’ve ever eaten in a day.

Yes; it had a natural sweetness to it which I've never experienced with any other meats

It goes well with red wine.

I ate one steak plain with just salt n pepper and for the other steak, I chopped it in chunks, glazed it with a little bit of honey and paprika.

The one I glazed with honey and paprika tasted much better and matched well with the deer meat's natural sweet aroma/taste.

I don't think I'll try it again anytime soon though. They aren't sold in much places and I only got them because I happen to past by a store that I knew had it.

We actually have deer meat here at my grocery. It is seasonal. It should be there soonish. This month or the next month. I did not get any last time because it was already sold. I will get some this year.
