I want to go to college to get and engineering degree in electrical engineering, so far I’ve been having a hard time studying but it’s something I want to be my career going forward in life. I just want to know if anyone has tried to be an engineer or is one what their experience was like during college or if there is any advice to it.

The job market is cooked and is a race to the bottom in 2026 with the endless supply of jeets and AI not that different from the dating market. No matter how smart you are you'll apply endlessly to fake jobs only to get rejected and ghosted (similar to dating apps) and even if you get a job you'll live a miserable wagecuck life and still won't be able to afford anything (similar to betabuxxing)

@MaldireMan0077 :feelsYall:

I was in mechanical engineering for 2 years then switched majors. At my college it is fucking brutal torture to try and get an engineering degree. You need to be a dedicated super autist to have any chance.

Your better off as a normal electritian. Enjineering requires fucking caculous. So unless you wanna asian max, dont

Anything that has to do with engineering requires math, if you struggle at math it'd be brutal for you

It's probably good money though

EE or Computer Engineering is definitely better than CS nowadays. I actually know someone who started an electrician consulting company after going to school for EE, so the possibilities are endless. Semiconductors are all the rage though.

I’m a software engineer after doing EE

start off in a com college

see if they even have your major

If you're a STEMcel, you should design a robowaifu. No reason not to. She doesn't have to be that complex to be lovable.
Or at the very least, build a Galatea v3.

I'm a STEMcel who has a prestigious tech job that places me around the top 5% of society salarywise. It's nice to not have to worry about money and I live a comfy life but it had no impact on my inceldom whatsoever. In fact I think being a STEMcel is a net negative despite the money because it's very inceldcoded to imagine some nerd sitting in a dark room coding or working with tools. Maybe good for betabux though but you still need normie tier looks.

I’m too retarded to be an engineer. Im low inhib and hate doing math

I'm a STEMcel but made the mistake of life sciences, and nearing the end of college, find myself caught between years as a grad student slave-laborer or even worse, the endless hoops of med school. Am moving back in to leech off family.

Mech Eng from top tier university but the job market is absolutely fucked. I have a few classmates who got into google, tesla, boeing, coca cola, etc. But every single one of them has been rain man level genius.

For avg graduates, you are competing with senior engineers who got laid off and willing to take a pay cut for an entry level job.

It might be different in Europe, but this is how it is for new engineers in North America.

Im anarchistcelling, fuck the university slave system

i havent graduated yet but my intro classes arent too hard. they are just prereqs but i think if you believe in the idea of college its prob the best degreee for the forseeable future because of ai etc. just make sure you get a good degree plan and internships etc youll need them to get a good job after college

If you are young I suggest you start reading/writing as a hobby, because those verbal skills are very much needed in the marketplace...

If you live in a thirdworld country then it's impossible to NEETmax, that's why you need a job even if is not something related to your major... Engineering is a major that will get you a job...

If you live in a first world country being a NEET is a better option.

EE but taking programming courses as my electives. It's brutal but fun in a sick way.

I am in electrical engineering as well. It's much different from what I expected it to be, just so you know.
