had an old ugly unused door

got rid of it, replaced it with a piece of of T1-11 (like wood siding), cut it down to size to fit

painted it with 2 coats of behr marquee exterior semi-gloss

fixed it in place with t25 torx screws

no more ugli ass door

anyone else like to work on projects like this? it gets me some exercise at least lol

Last year I helped my dad paint the interior of our house, it was nice but damn it took too long

yep, took me bout 2 hours to prime the paneling with zinsser 123. course cleaning off 30 years of dust and taping took much longer. paneling originaly looked like on the left. can't believe someone at some point in history actually thought that shit looked good lmao. gotta paint it tan with two coats of benjamin moore regal select next. hope it turns out well

got the first coat done. This paint (ben moore regal select) worked pretty well, damn near covered in one coat. I will still put a second coat later for durability. Color was close to what I had in mind, looks like coffee with milk. maybe a touch dark but not bad at all. Made a mess with drips everywhere tho cause I did this on 3 hrs sleep

Put the second coat on and it looked really good, very happy with it. Spent tonight removing the tape. Then I went around scraping the ugly barf green linoleum off the floor. Gonna replace it with vinyl plank

my experience is basically limited to putting a pullup bar into a door (screwing brackets) though, and nailing down loose deck boards

would like to be able to do stuff like build fences or barricade doors to stop the zombie apocalypse
