I doubt it as WW2 movies are mostly pro Anglo-American and j00 propaganda.

Every time a war appears these movies start popping up, as if to remind the population that Americans are heroes, j00s are perpetual victims (even though they function as a terror state in middle east) and Germans are evil. It's like we aren't allowed to forget about these things.

Das Boot is a good one about submarine warfare. The original book was an anti war novell, but the film took it in the opposite direction.
