Gaming Any Advice for The Witcher III?

Want to get back into this game, but I have not played in awhile and I recall it being somewhat difficult. I read online that it is best to learn the mechanics as best as you can, since they are quite different from other games, and to also level up the Quen sign and learn alchemy as much as possible.

What advice would any brocels who have played the game give?

Oh really? I actually read to do the main quests before branching out, and to only do quests your level or lower even.

Pretty sure I have it set on the second easiest or even easiest mode.

Been a very long time since I played that game but I remember the first 10 levels were pretty brutal, low level and bad equipment meant I died a lot at early stages. But then like any RPG you start getting better loot and health, and then you end really OP no matter if your playstyle is swords or signs.

Also alchemy in The Witcher 3 is cool but unless you play on the maximum difficulty it won't be too necessary. Unlike The Witcher 1 where alchemy was one of the big parts of the game, or that's what I read.
