Honestly, I do not watch anime anymore due to lack of time, and sometimes, because I read the series earlier, I just usually read things like manga and manhwa, manhua.
I tend to focus on the ones near the black, not those with Simp or Pushover MC.
I found it funny that harems are usually some of the most blackpill of these mediums, especially the one with a harem ending.
I found it ironic that some think the MC is bland or something for the female characters; I go to look at the series, and the dude looks like he would be a freaking model in a lot of cases and can be described as handsome and simp by girls; the dude can like a head taller, so like 8-10 inches or 20-25 cm taller. Though some authors reckon the heck out the height or super inconsistencies like MC will be revealed to be shorter than western average height when it does not make sense from the look, it is likely to keep the audience so like males think they could be at the MC level; I guess it is interesting that is somewhat of a black pill because in a romantic case, the guy will usually be portrayed as a head taller than the girl of interest even by a male author.
