This quote is very important in regards to Gnosticism and the demiurge.

We must fight fire with fire, but in the process we must not lose our divine spark.

Our essence comes from doing what is right, not what is cruel.

That is why if we defeat the demiurge and his archons we must eliminate them in a painless manner. Least we become what they are, and end up creating chaos similar to this world.
