Title. The absorption of mass immigration from non-Germanic and non-Protestant European nations was catastrophic and destroyed the identity of this country. As a majority Anglo-Saxon nation, America had a coherent identity as frontiersmen and merchants who settled and developed the untamed American continent and had a culture of self-reliance and personal autonomy with strong ties to their homeland and region as well as to their blood. The mass importation of Catholic Irish, Catholic Italians, Catholic Germans, and other non-Protestant and/or non-Germanic groups diluted the culture, traditions, and identity of this country, transforming it from a people tied to their land into a vague notion of a citizen state whose existence depends entirely on the Constitution. Thus began a creeping evolution that transformed America first into a multicultural pan-European country and then into a multicultural globalist economic zone. The mass importation of immigrants also accelerated the mass proletarianization of America and the rise of FDR, which would have unforeseen consequences not only for America, but for the entire world. The New Deal coalition that brought FDR to power depended on immigrant participation, particularly in the North, especially from the Catholic Irish and Italian communities, who were the staunchest supporters of FDR and his policies. From then on, this coalition of European immigrants became the backbone of the Democratic Party and promoted many of its globalist and multiculturalist policies, culminating in the Immigration Act of 1965, which lifted most racial and national restrictions on immigration and opened the floodgates for non-white immigration to America. From then on, the Democratic Party appealed primarily to blacks as well as new non-white immigrants, slowly moving away from its white immigrant base.
Tl;dr: Ellis Islanders ruined America and helped turn it into the globalist monstrosity it is today.
