On my first car my aux stopped working after some time. On my new car it worked at first but now it stopped working as well. I can hear the connecting sound, but the output device is my phone for some reason. The cable itself was fine and its not a low quality one, so i suspect that aux itself is just unreliable.

Yes, aux cables are ass. Even HQ ones will break.

Yup they break easily

I regret buying that bullshit, i should have bought a Bluetooth adapter immediately

I would go bluetooth too but then you always have the problem of bluetooth randomly disconnecting at least mine does that lot

I never had an aux cable break but i only use braided cables

Bluetooth is pretty good now except for the cheapest junk

I had some issues with Bluetooth, but disconnecting wasnt one of them surprisingly.

Recently installed the Bluetooth adapter in my car and so far it seems to work fine

My aux cable was also braided and was still intact, thats why i think that there is something fundamentally wrong with the way aux works

Glad you are having a better experience with bluetooth, it always takes a massive shit on me and breaks

Are you having bluetooth issues with the car or with another device ?

I've had bluetooth issues on both ends, with cars and phones I assume the technology just despises me

Try using a seperate Bluetooth adapter instead of using the Radios Bluetooth, if you dont have already

This is why iPhone were always a bit better at audio, if it was an older car and supported iPod usb connections then you could just plug your iPhone in and play music stored on the device or streaming and the audio was high quality.

This was before the carplay and android play era.

true, the car play and android auto era ruined things

I'll have to give that a try
I recommend Bluetooth adapters that you can plug in cigarette lighters, there are some good options on Amazon

Thanks, i'll pick one up and hopefully it fixes the disconnecting issues

Depends on the material tbh.
Some are shitty, some last longer than others.
They're all temporary tho
