they reduced the sugar in every product here and made sodas no longer have taste . I still remember drinking them as kid, and each and every single one of them tasting amazing. so what's the point of them now? can't even enjoy slop in peace

I fucking hate it, it's one of my only copes and finding drinkable ones is pain. It's basically result of sugar tax but this often happens in countries without sugar tax such as Sweden. Just finding some normal Mountain Dew with 50kcal/100ml in Estonia cheered me up a lot. Only Germany and US seem to be countries where you can enjoy this cope at ease.

Manufacturers avoid sugar tax by reducing sugar content in their products in countries where the tax is at place. Even in Russia this is the case.
I mean, it is an effective tax and it's quite easy to justify it without making too many people unhappy besides gluttons.

I'm from Brazil. I looked it up and it seems like the regulation started around the end of 2010s in order to reduce child obesity here, granted I stopped drinking soda around that time in order to be fit

They finally make Orange Crush Zero Sugar. Crush soda was always the best. My fav was grape but they haven't sold that in decades. If Grape Crush Zero comes out I'm gonna be very happy.

Yeah mostly sweeteners in probably quite a few countries.
Some drinks are still OK though as they either still only use sugar or they are one of the rare drinks that taste fine with sweeteners.

Even though I advice not to drink Coca Cola, I'd always recommend glass botttle coke over anything else. Plastic DEFITENELY ruins the taste and btw, the aluminum can has a plastic layer inside, so your coke is not even touching the aluminum but is filled into a plastic container again.
There is a youtube video where a guys takes a coke can and outs it in some kind of avid which desolves the aluminum only to show the inner plastic layer / containet.
Glads is heavier, but it mogs.
If Ii ever buy fizzy drinks, I always go for glass and even pay extra for it.

Sugar is a literal poison but yea tbh it sucks. Pepsi is literally undrinkable now. Coke and MD are still good.
