And also I pay a lot for gas to drive to work, and >50% of gas price in my country are taxes. I pretty much work only to have cash to pay for work related stuff. And why? Sadly I think and think and can't find a way to really accomplish dropping from society either. Even Varg Vikernes, who's famous, gets money from records and books and doesn't have to work anymore, plus government money for his kids, is struggling to drop from society for good.

It's really tough. And sadly being a NEET/hiki isn't sustainable in the vast majority of people's cases

Well, there is what I call 90% NEETing, I live the hermit life, hardly ever go out, collect money on disability, and I work a part time retail job, it's not really a "successful" job it just pays for my copes and so I can take care of myself. It's contributing very minimally to society (hardly at all).
