Venting After more than 7 years, I resumed watching Attack on Titan

I watched it when it came out and after that ignored it, till last week when I downloaded season 2 and onwards.
Finished the second season and it was pretty awesome, and started season 3 and I'm sad to say, I don't like the 3 first episodes.
I'm afraid of the show shifting into a thing I really don't like, might drop it again.
