Advanced math isn’t useless in ordinary life, you just need to have a high IQ for it to have an impact

But schools try to teach algebra level math to apes and wonder why the test scores are so low. All levels of math are certainly useful, but only in the right hands.

For someone like me with an IQ of 83, math is completely useless. I can’t do math beyond addition, subtraction, and minimal multiplication. But give the highest levels of math to a high IQ person, he’ll possibly make a revolutionary breakthrough and have a highly successful career.

Schools still don’t fully understand this, I shouldn’t have been taking algebra and geometry classes. I should’ve been in the most retarded math classes they could’ve gave me, if any classes at all.

Hardwork alone will take you places :soy:

Schools don't teach people to think. They teach formulas and abstract concepts in isolation. Even amongst high IQs, only the few independent thinkers can make an impact with their honed ability to transfer their knowledge to a different domain.

Applying the formula of E=mc2 to your life is difficult boyo

To use advanced math in the real world in your career, you need to know abstract math to be able to develop complex models and algorithms. You need to know a ton about matrixes, functions, projections, geometry, and other things. Need to be particularly good at spatial reasoning.

Algebra isn’t advanced math

Fuck these schools

This

When you force students to know by heart 50 different variations of b=x²+a²*b or some shit, without explaining how or when to use them, you can't go very far

The algebra they teach in public high schools isn't advanced math jfl

niggas be struggling with basic arithmetic meanwhile i have to learn integral and differential calculus

bruh this is so real , I'm planning to take advanced math classes like complex analysis and differential geometry and algebraic geometry soon and the prerequisites are just insane

Your profile picture was a hero and deserves to be remembered everyday

Integration and differential including some permutations and combination in stats is also useful

Its not bad, but you have to enjoy learning and practicing it.

I did applied math in the past. Hated it, and quit. I want to study 10 hours max a week, im a lazy roach

Why did you hate it? What did you hate about it?
I like to take my time. I never like to stress over academics. When I do, my speed of progress slows down a lot

It depends on the field. For example, if you really want to work in some areas, like AI, it’ll be necessary.

Same. I am not good with huge workload.
