never had this problem I used brave and firefox sponsorblock and for mobile I used revanced
the only problem I had was with revanced which is video getting frozen after playing with the seeker too much, I've never seen a youtube ad since 5 years or so.

I used adblocker in 2021 but stopped working in 2022 for some reason.
